It started this weekend when the disturbing Miami incident of a naked man eating another man’s face hit the news and was dubbed “zombie apocalypse.” Today more very gory and bizarre incidents have surfaced across the nation. These tales have many wondering what’s going on. Is it the bath salts being used like a drug causing psychotic behavior as some speculate?
The first incident to make news occurred this weekend in Miami where a naked man, Rudy Eugene, climbed on top of a 65 year-old homeless man and ate his face, according to WebProNews. Police were beckoned by a passerby and they told Eugene to back away from the victim. Eugene looked up with pieces of human flesh hanging from his mouth and growled at the police. He then went back to eating the victim’s face.
The police shot Eugene, but he continued chewing on the man’s flesh. They were left with no options and the attacker was fatally shot to get him away from the victim. The victim, Roland Poppo, had 80% of his face eaten away and was unrecognizable as a man. He remains in the hospital in critical condition today. Pictures were released showing the victim and the crime scene aftermath.
