ALBANY, GA -
With the country at war and uncertain economic times, people gathered for prayer at MCLB today.
For more than 10 years the Marine Base has celebrated National Prayer Day. Marines and civilians alike came together to pray.
This morning's ceremony started off with breakfast, prayer, a guest speaker and ended with more prayer.
Minister Kenneth Bevel from Sherwood Baptist Church spoke on the power of prayer.
"My wife and I couldn't have children and he blessed us with two wonderful kids. So I am an example of how prayer works and how God has worked in my life," said Bevel.
"Blessed is the Nation Whose God is The Lord," was this year's theme for National Day of Prayer.
